Experimenting with hair

I'm one of those girls that loves to experiment with her hair but never really has the confidence to totally go for it, so I positively adore wigs. They may have a reputation for being itchy, fake looking and dated, but wigs are the best secret weapon for changing your look on a regular basis.

I always toyed with the idea of bleaching my hair blonde, but never really worked up the guts to do it... so when I found this sassy blonde wig floating around in a fancy dress store for £10 I was totally sold. Although it's cheap - it still fits like a dream and feels really silky and smooth. I even managed to fool a few friends into thinking I'd really bleached my hair.

What do you all make of wigs? do you too appreciate the awesomeness of being able to change your look completely by just pulling on some different hair?

Life Updates!!

Yet again I accidently went on a blog hiatus! I've been up to so much it's been a dizzy whirlwind of mania! I now present my own radio show (Metal Mania) which is awesome because I've always been a massive fan of rock music and I'm relishing the opportunity to meet some of my favourite bands and get to interview them! (+ attending festivals and gigs for free is a major plus! :D) I'm also now working as a Digital Account Executive for a technical media agency in Suffolk and I'm loving it! everything seems to be falling into place in my life and I'm very happy :)

I promise I'll get some more juicy blog posts written up very soon! including some tutorials, OOTD & FOTD's and lots of other nice things and I'm very sorry for neglecting my blog for so long! naughty Claire!!!

For now, here are some pictures of when I interviewed bands backstage at this years Download Festival -

Lingerie Obsession

I'm obsessed with lingerie, literally! I must have spent a fortune on my underwear throughout the years and could probably fund a round the world trip if I added up the price of the contents of my lingerie drawer. I'm one of those girls who is perfectly content wearing cheap as chips clothes but when it comes to whats underneath I never scrimp on my budget!

Expensive lingerie to me is the best thing in the world. It gives you such a mental boost and makes you feel super confident (which is never a bad thing if you're as prone to self doubt as I am) my love affair started when an ex boyfriend treated me to a set from Agent Provocateur many Christmasses ago. I'd always adored their designs but never dared to splash out the cash as I just didn't feel that it'd be worth the money. When I first put some AP on though I felt fantastic - it really does make you feel like a supermodel - all toned and perfectly contoured and super sexy!

Since then I've been collecting designer lingerie with a passion. I keep all my Agent Provocateur items in their original boxes to make sure they stay pristine perfect whilst not in wear. My Janet Reger things are all in a pretty lined drawer, La Perla items live in a cute little padded box and other gorgeous things are all kept in another special drawer. I am honestly a total geek when it comes to storing my lingerie! lol, but after spending so much money on items you definitely want to make sure they're well cared for!

Hello again beauty world! :)

I am such a bad blogger... no posts since August 2010?! naughty me! it's not even as though I have a good excuse... I wish I could say I'd been travelling the world in my own private jet but no, I've just been working my little socks off trying to get as much freelance work as I possibly can!

Everything is going well, my boyfriend and I have settled back into life in the countryside. We miss London very much but it's nice to be back where we grew up and have the freedom to wander around the countryside whenever we like. I think we'd both like to move back to London for another year or two when we're more settled on the career front, but we also want to save up to buy a house / get married / have kids - all that adult grown up stuff! so it makes sense for us to stick around here for a while and save up some money.

How was everyones Christmas and New Years? I realise it's the very end of January now so I'm very late in asking! Mine was fantastic, it was really lovely to be surrounded by family and friends and see people I don't often get the chance to see. Dan spoilt me this Christmas and I got some wonderful presents off of him. He bought me a pair of sexy rocket dog boots (ones that have laced up sections at the front and bits of faux fur on them) some gorgeous wedge wellies (I'm always going to festivals and I never wear anything but heels, so wedge wellies are perfect for me!) he also got me lots of books and games and other fun things like that :) and as well as all that he put a bet on a horse for me and also surprised me with tickets at midnight on New Years eve to see one of my all time favourite bands (The Cult) live in Cambridge (I think I screamed the whole pub down I was so excited when he gave them to me! lol)

We went to see The Cult on the 22nd January and stayed in a gorgeous hotel and I can honestly say it was amazing, I had such a great weekend! I've waited SO long to see The Cult live and they did not disappoint :)

Now that I've broken the ice and posted for the first time in nearly 5 months, I'm hoping to resume normal blogging activity and get back into the swing of things! I've got lots of reviews and outfits to post, so I'm feeling quite excited :)
